This huge instrument is called a 'Multi-Dekamater' and built in 1960. According to the manual it is used for measuring the dissipation factor of capacitors. WTW is still in the business with special physical instruments (humidity). When I got the instrument from a friend, there was no information available in the internet. Passing by some years I checked google again - and found the website of WTW. A short email later they did send the manual as a pdf-file. The instrument is still not restored nor powered-up. Till now I added just the lampholder and two missing tubes.
