"The Datapulse Model 108 Pulse
Generator is an all solid state, high quality pulse generator combining
functions previously unavailable in commercial pulse generators.
The instrument feature clean, high
power pulses, high duty cycle capability, fast rise times, and high repetition
rates. Coupled with these features is the capability to generate clean, wide,
low power pulses at low repetition rate. The 108 is designed to perform most
pulse applications conveniently and with the utmost reliability." (Datapulse,

The Datapulse 108 is a full transistor pulse
generator launched about 1964. Unfortunately Datapulse wasn't able to gain form
the solid state design, as the overall construction is typical for tube
equipment - large and heavy. Datapulse was taken over by Systron-Donner in the
late sixties. From that time Sytron-Donner built it's famous line of smaller
instruments. My 108 manufactured in 1971 has the late Systron-Donner front
panel layout. The '68 catalog mentions a lead time of 10 weeks, more than all
other items - maybe the model 108 was only assembled on
request. |
