Who is this crazy guy behind the museum?

Well, I'm 41 years old and live in a small village between Frankfurt and Cologne. I'm happy enough to be married with my wife Stefanie. Although she does not really understand (who does?) why on earth I collect 'tons of metal trash' she accepts my passion. Sometimes our son Niklas helps me washing instruments, but I think he only likes to splash plenty of water! But his favorite is still the 1982 commodore pc running 'break'.

After getting a degree of Electronics in 1991 I worked for ABB servicing software for database applications. In 1993 I joined the small company Motec GmbH which then was in the automotive sensor field. Later video observation for trucks and other vehicles was introduced and is now the main business focus.

As Motec was a small company some instruments from my collection did help at work too. When there was need of something special during development or testing like a high power pulse generator I used mine instead of purchase or rent a new instrument.

Then I worked 4-1/2 years for the company Marzhauser Sensotech GmbH. MST developed rotary and linear positioning sensors for use in lab equipment and cnc-machines. My work includes hardware and software design, pcb layout and documentation.

Today I am working for Motec again.
